The gameplay is questionable, the unlock system is flawed, and while it’s great to play with so many powers, it’s just too bad it wasn’t utilized to it’s full potential. The game tries to simultaneously please Scribblenauts and DC fans, but won’t completely be able to do either one. A sequel that emphasizes the franchise’s strengths in a terrific new setting, Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure sees the heroic wordsmith Maxwell relocated to the expansive DC Universe, where a sinister doppelganger runs amuck in Gotham City alongside the Dark Knight’s rogues gallery. This is really cool (my personal favorite to play was Batman). However, one cool feature they did add is to play through the origin stories of six different superheroes. Enemies can gang up on you and make it nearly impossible. Some of the control feels limited, like picking which power to use can be difficult. With over 2,000 different superheroes, ranging from the commonly known to the super obscure, the game challenges the knowledge of any comic book fanatic.
